_I bought hummus at the store, but it's really easy to make your own.  I also used produce that I had on hand, but anything that you can cut into coins (for the petals), and make into strips (for the anthers), and any long vegetable to serve as a stalk will do.

I hope your kiddos enjoy this pretty little snack!

Hummus wildflowers
Prep time: 5-10 minutes
Serves: 3-4

1 small cucumber, peeled and cut into coins
1 small bell pepper, cut into strips
1/2 cup of hummus
1 small celery stalk

Scoop hummus into the center of a plate.  Surround with cucumber slices.  Insert bell pepper strips vertically into the hummus.  Finally add the celery to the bottom so that it looks like a flower stalk.
