Yogurt popsicles

Picture
These popsicles are a healthy way to give your kids a refreshing summer treat.  And they pack in a lot of calcium and vitamin C along with some fiber, iron and vitamin A.  They are also fun to make with your kids, as long as they can be patient and wait for the freezing process to work its magic.

I made these with blackberries since my little girl's favorite color is purple.  But you can use whatever soft fruit is in season or at your disposal.  Any type of berry, peaches, or mangoes would make an excellent alternative.

If you don't have popsicle molds you can use skinny drinking glasses (be creative, what would make a good popsicle shape?) instead.  You can also use  large pretzel rods as popsicle sticks if need be.

3/4 cup blackberries
1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt (fat free OK)

In a blender mix fruit and yogurt until smooth.  Then pour into popsicle molds and freeze until firm.  Enjoy!
